Abstract
This study amis to scrutinize the current trends, preference and degree of satisfaction in regard to base make-up of middle and high school. The results of this study are as follows. This study, first, looks into the trend in base make-up. It is discovered that the most number of the respondents begin to put on base make-up when they are in their 7th or 9th grade. To the question how much make-up you usually wear, the largest share of the respondents, 32.7%, replies that they usually choose to wear up to base make-up and 32.8% of them wear it to cover their skin flaws. The most popular base make-up products are revealed to be BB cream(as known as blemish balm, blemish base or beauty balm). To the question how often you wear base make-up a week, the most respondents answered that they wear it once or twice. It is surveyed that slightly more than half of the respondents(51.7%) prefer to wear make-up products made for teens only than for adults. For 39% of the respondents, applying base make-up is a ``very important`` process in their make-up while 29% marked the ``important`` box. This can be interpreted that the majority regards base make-up as a significant step of the whole make-up process. When purchasing base make-up products, the respondents tend to choose what are presently popular online and consider the function and quality of make-up products foremost. This study closely reviews preferences of the middle and high school girls for base make-up. The biggest share of the respondents, 39.0%, replies that the most vital function a base make-up product should serve is cover-up of pores and blemishes. In the survey, the respondents disclose that they wish to be looked cleaner and more natural after wearing base make-up. Moreover, 37.0% of the respondents favors peach-color base make-up and 56.3%, recognizing the current trend, has a desire for transparent skin tone and moisture skin texture. This study explores how the functional satisfaction and psychological satisfaction be affected in accordance with preference for base make-up. A meaningful outcome is only found in functional satisfaction. The respondents, who pursue cute and lovely looking, display the highest functional satisfaction degree among all other. Unlike functional satisfaction, no significant result is yielded in the psychological satisfaction.
